Trish Biddle, the Official Artist of the 2009 Westminster Dog Show and the Official Artist of the 2008 Kentucky Derby
"What are the Odds" was the offical art of for the 2008 Kentucky Oaks.
Inspired by her interests in fashion and Art Deco, American artist Trish Biddle has created the image for the official 2009 Del Mar Thoroughbred Club racing season, San Diego, California.
Her painting depicts ladies looking on as powerful thoroughbreds march from the paddock out to glory, or disaster.
The track, which opened in 1937, is rich with history--home of the famous Seabiscuit-Ligaroti race, and playground for old-Hollywood's elite--and scenic beauty. The classic, Spanish-style architecture is surrounded by well-manicured lawns and vibrant flowers. Trish's art will be on the cover of the programs, tickets and complete line of merchandise.
"Do you ever have one of those days when you see a commercial on TV, or a travel magazine ad where the image either makes you sigh or dream and imagine? You imagine.....
You imagine you're on your way to the airport because getting there is half the fun, Prada bag in hand. You arrive to your luxury suite opening the French doors to the incredible view and ocean breezes. Inspired for a cocktail? Mojito, or perhaps something with coconut. Suddenly, we are rudely transported back to reality by a telemarketer....oh well.. Next scene Paris, or is it Milan? A little history culture or shoe shopping coture....you decide.
Wherever your dreams may take you, reality can wait. Escaping from the daily grind under the Eiffel tower or the Louvre, Highway 1 and Rodeo Drive, NYC... and Cappuccino in Florence. Dressed and ready for anything in my vintage convertible with a girls best friend, my Italian greyhound.
This is where I find inspiration.......I imagine."

Inspired by her interests in fashion and Art Deco, American artist Trish Biddle has created the image for the official 2009 Westminster Kennel Club poster, "Westminster. There's only one."
Her oil painting depicts an evening street scene outside Madison Square Garden and features representative breeds from all seven Groups. "Uno", Westminster's 2008 Best in Show winner, walks front and center, while the Empire State Building, aglow with Westminster's signature purple and gold colors, sets the stage. Ms. Biddle's penchant for fashion is evident, as stylish dog lovers stroll past a Westminster-themed Saks Fifth Avenue window, another New York City icon.
